FAQs

  • Do you accept insurance?

At this time, we do not accept any insurance policies for payment. Clients are responsible to pay session fees directly at time of service. However, many of our clients have successfully been reimbursed by their insurance companies after filing paperwork for out-of-network coverage. This is a process each client has to explore with their own insurance company. Also, many clients have successfully paid for their sessions using HSA cards. At request, we can provide the invoices necessary for reimbursement.

  • Do you work with children or adolescents?

Currently, we are only accepting adult (18+) clients. We can happily provide recommendations for child & adolescent clinicians in the area at request!

  • Do you offer sliding scale pricing?

We have limited spots for sliding scale clients who pay between $80 and $125 for their sessions (we cover the rest). Contact us to see if we have availability for another sliding scale client! When all the spots are full, we can only offer sessions at full price ($160).

  • Do you offer Telehealth sessions?

Yes, however, we prefer to begin work with clients in-person. Telehealth platforms are a great tool that we use on a case-by-case basis! We also really lean into the importance of embodied presence and the benefits of being in a space dedicated to therapy focus.

We are currently only seeing counseling clients in the state of Florida. Other consultation, coaching, program development, and educational services are available to clients nationally.

  • Can I bring my own pet to sessions?

We wish, but at this time, only our therapy dogs are approved to be in the office. Sessions would turn into a big silly pet play session which sounds lovely but would be distracting to us and others in the building. Clients working through the steps for ESA approval may be asked to bring their pets in once for a scheduled observation for which no therapy dogs will be onsite (or the observation may be conducted over telehealth appointment).

  • Do you prescribe medication?

No. We do not have any Psychiatrists on staff, but we often support our clients through the process of considering medication and finding a prescribing doctor. With a signed release form, we also collaborate with our clients’ prescribers at their request.

  • What clients or specialty areas are your focus?

Green-Grey Spaces is a safe and welcoming place for all! A consultation will help determine if our services are the best fit for you! The majority of our clients are adults aged 21-50 who are exploring big or difficult life transitions such as graduating from school, navigating a breakup, parenting challenges, divorce, coping with a loss, adjusting to a move, burnout, switching jobs or experiencing career uncertainty, or relationship challenges.

Unique specialties and client focus areas also include: college/graduate students, women’s issues, veterinary professionals, mental health professionals, and educators.

Many of our clients are also balancing the management of symptoms related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, and more.

Our practice is also the only practice in the area with specialties in Emotional Support Animal Approvals.

  • With my ESA letter, where can I take my pet?

An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) approval letter legally protects your pet as a reasonable accommodation in your home or residence. This means that, no matter your landlord’s or HOA’s pet policies, your ESA can live with you. In some cases, these protections extend to other living situations, such as hotels, college dorms, or temporary housing.

It’s important to know that ESAs are different from trained service animals. They don’t have public access rights—so an ESA letter does not allow pets into stores, restaurants, or other places that don’t already welcome animals.

When it comes to travel, policies vary by airline or transportation company. Some still recognize ESAs, while others only permit service animals under stricter definitions.
